Reiki Level 1 – Shoden: Foundations of Hands‑On Healing

Reiki Level 1 introduces students to the core principles and practices of the Usui system of natural healing. This foundational level focuses on personal wellbeing, hands‑on techniques, and developing a direct relationship with Reiki energy. Students receive Attunements that open the energetic channels, allowing Reiki to flow for self‑treatment and for supporting others in a safe, grounded way.

The course explores the history and philosophy of Reiki, the nature of energy, and the role of intention and presence in healing work. Students learn traditional hand positions for self‑care and for offering treatments to friends and family, along with practical guidance on creating a calm, supportive environment for healing. Emphasis is placed on personal practice, self-awareness, and integrating Reiki into everyday life to promote balance, relaxation, and resilience.

By the end of Level 1, students feel confident giving a full Reiki treatment, understand how to work ethically and responsibly, and have the tools to begin a regular self‑healing routine. This level is suitable for complete beginners and for anyone seeking a gentle, structured introduction to energy work and holistic wellbeing.
